Winners of IGA Expo Competition announced

27.07.09

After a closely fought battle at the IGA Expo, we're pleased to announce the winners of our Retro Gaming Competition.

It quickly became obvious the retailers who'd grown up in the eighties and had spent all of their pocket money on games at the local milk bar.  Bas-X offered 3 contests each with different prizes.  The highest score over the 3 days for each game won the allocated prize.

Jaye Casey of IGA Woree won the tighly contested Space Invaders contest.  With a score of 34760 he closely edged out his closest rival with only 15 minutes of the competition remaining.  For his efforts Jaye won his store a whole pallet of 2L Coca Cola.

Yvonne Sutton of Foodstuffs tried very hard to win the Frogger competition but didn't score quite highly enough to beat the eventual winner Troy Curran from the Curran's Group of IGA stores.  His high score from Sunday was enough to carry him through the 3 days to win the 12 month 256kbps Bas-XConnect DSL Broadband subscription.

Our final winner Chris Antonieff of Foodworks Oxley proved that attending an IGA Expo doesn't necessarily mean that you kill off brain cells.  With a massive score of 20 for the Simon memory game, Chris made sure he secured the Penfolds wine dozen.

Thanks to every one who played and made the IGA Expo a very fun place.
