A fast growing Brisbane (Southside) software development company providing innovative Retail ERP and POS management solutions to the retail industry is seeking suitably experienced and qualified persons for full time employment in our customer service division.

You will join our highly skilled and motivated support and development teams. In this fast paced environment your investigative and problem solving skills and your ability to reproduce and clearly document technical issues will make a valuable contribution to the success of the business. You will be given the opportunity to advance through QA to the R&D team should you demonstrate the capacity and willingness to do so.
All applicants will be required to undertake a 2hour test prior to any interview.
The Role
• Logging, Resolving and Prevention of customer problems
• Customer correspondence including documentation of user guides and other resources
• Escalation and reproduction of technical issues for the development team
• QA tasks and technical documentation
• Administration of SQL databases
• System monitoring
The successful applicants will possess the following;
Formal Qualifications
• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences
Technical Skills and Experience
• More than 3 years experience in a software support role or in a development/QA role.
• Demonstrated basic programming skills and knowledge is highly desirable
• Demonstrated SQL and some PSQL programming skills is highly desirable
• Good formal documentation skills is highly desirable
• Demonstrated investigative and problem solving skills is highly desirable
• Thorough understanding and ability to use Microsoft Office suite is highly desirable
• Experience in Accounting Systems and retail POS systems would be advantageous
Additional IT Skills of Value
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Windows operating systems (Win98 – 2003 server)
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Internet communication peripherals (modems, routers)
• Understanding of TCP/IP networks and security systems
• Understanding of LAN and WAN communication and configurations.

A starting salary package from $50k-60K (incl Industry Super) reflective of qualifications, skills, experience and suitability will be offered to the successful candidate, and up to $80K if you substantially exceed our requirements.
